Chopper Spirals Wildly into Palm Fronds at Frequented California Coast
An aircraft soaring near a popular southern California beach abruptly commenced twirling uncontrollably, eventually losing altitude and smashing into a line of palm groves as onlookers looked on.
Recordings uploaded on the internet capture the helicopter beginning to twirl above the beach then plunging towards the edge of the shore, where it gets stuck between palm groves and a set of stairs close to the coastal road.
First Aid Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five people were rushed to the hospital comprising two who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the crash on that day.
Three individuals on the pavement were injured. Details on their condition were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
Planned Function
Officials said the helicopter was linked to an regular “Cars with Copters” fundraising event set for the following day.
